The O. V. Bogatsky Physico-Chemical Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine carries out its scientific and educational activities with the provision of equal rights and opportunities for women and men in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Ensuring Equal Rights and Opportunities for Women and Men”, which is aimed at establishing gender equality, preventing discrimination on the basis of sex, preventing and combating gender-based violence, ensuring equal participation of women and men in making socially important decisions, ensuring equal opportunities for women and men to combine professional and family responsibilities, protecting society from information aimed at discrimination on the basis of sex, developing an inclusive and gender-sensitive public space, friendly to families with children and low-mobility population groups, etc.
The O. V. Bogatsky Physico-Chemical Institute of the NAS of Ukraine provides equal working conditions, career development and opportunities for all employees, regardless of gender. All employees of the Institute have the same rights and opportunities, regardless of their gender, gender identity, age, nationality, social status, etc.
As of July 01, 2026, the number of female researchers is 46 (63% of the total number of researchers); the number of female heads of scientific units is 8 (57% of the total number of head scientists). In total, women hold 11 management positions (55% of the total number).
